I just climbed over Aggie’s stroller stuffed with 3 dolls and four blankets only to hit the toy vacuum which bumped into the bongo drums that set off an entirely too long and loud “song.” I have decided (actually before the stunt tonight) to totally redo and organize the playroom. We really don’t often “play” with the toys b/c everything gets shoved in different baskets and we can’t find the pieced that go with the right toy! Plus I desperately want it done before Christmas – especially if Aggie’s wish list is filled;-)
SO – I am going on an organizational kick. My baskets are too big and not functional for organization. We NEVER use the bed in here (I had envisioned us cuddling and reading on it when I had it placed in here) and the dogs think it is their personal hang-out. And, we really can’t even spread out on the floor b/c the art table is in the middle of the room. So, my plan is to store the bed for a later date (it really is a super cute daybed), buy beanbags to put in one reading corner and sort, sort, sort providing separate closed lid bins to put my sorted gear into. I haven’t tackled the sort, sort, sort (and toss, toss, toss) stage, but I DID buy some really cute green and brown (I’ve also picked a color scheme) decorative paper at Paper Planetto label the bins:-) Hey, priorities!
I have also added to my “Check It Out” section – Simple Mom. I have continually read her blog from Jenny’s, so decided to plug her here as well.
So send any ideas or encouragement my way. Looking at the mess around me, I’m gonna need it!
